Research events

The formal launch event for the Centre will take place on Wednesday, 25 May 2022. The event will be part of the µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍøResearch Festival and feature invited talks by three inspiring speakers  - please see further details and .

We host the Brunel-Bielefeld RMT workshops and the MAFELAP conferences, among other major international events.

 

The most recent and upcoming events (co)organised by the members of the Centre include:

  • Conference "" will take place at Congressi Stefano Franscini, Ascona (Switzerland) on 24-29 July 2022.
  • was hosted this year as an online event at ZiF - Center for Interdisciplinary Research, Bielefeld University (Germany) on 16-18 December 2021.
  • The 2021 Edge Days workshop on "" took place in Edinburgh on 29 November - 3 December 2021.

In 2020-21, despite the challenges of the pandemic, we successfully run the following research events online: 

  • The LMS Invited Lecture Series on “Fractional Calculus and Fractional Stochastic Calculus with Applications” was held on 30 March - 3 April 2020. 
  • XVI Brunel-Bielefeld Workshop on Random Matrix Theory was held on 18-19 December 2020 and gathered over 120 international participants. The next workshop will take place in Bielefeld on 16-18 December 2021. 
  • The 2020 Edge Days workshop on "”,  originally due to take place in Edinburgh, was hosted online by µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍøon 7-11 December 2020. It gathered about 70 international participants and many high profile international speakers.   
  • µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍøhas hosted three ; these inter-university seminars in Algebraic Geometry reach a very international audience.
