The UK’s best known supplier of Caribbean food and drink, , has marked its 10th anniversary by announcing a collaborative scholarship with µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍøUniversity London.
Launched in partnership with the – a social enterprise set up to inspire young black men – the scholarship prize is a step toward addressing an under-representation in UK universities of male British students with a Caribbean background.
The “Grace Foods and Reach Society Scholarship Prize 2017” comes into effect for the academic year beginning in September 2017, and covers one third of a student’s tuition fees for three years. µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍøwill contribute a further two thirds, resulting in a full fee waiver.
Grace Foods UK will also provide a paid internship of up to 10 weeks at the end of a student’s first or second year.

We are also delighted to be collaborating with both Grace Foods and µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍøUniversity London to provide more social mobility opportunities."
µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍøUniversity London’s Director of Development and Alumni Relations, Clive Gee, added: "The scholarship allows the University to support a talented student and attract more students from a Caribbean background to make use of the many opportunities we have to offer, while building a relationship with a large and prestigious employer Grace Foods, and a leading community group, Reach Society."
