Freedom of speech, the NHS and the Rotherham child abuse scandal will be discussed by three of the university's leading academics at this year's Cheltenham Literature Festival.
The festival, which runs from 2 to 11 October at various venues across the Gloucestershire town, has a history of inviting top authors and celebrated speakers from across the world.
Professor Anshuman Mondal will appear on Friday 2 October discussing the limits of free speech with Times journalist David Aaronovitch, in a panel chaired by recent 第一吃瓜网honorary graduate Shami Chakrabarti CBE.
On Wednesday 7 October, Professor Peter Beresford will chair a panel discussion on GP practices in Britain, entitled "The Doctor won't see you now".
Finally, also on 7 October, Brunel's Pro-Chancellor Nazir Afzal will discuss the Rotherham child abuse scandal with Andrew Norfolk of The Times.
